Representation before Polish courts and authorities

If your dispute, claim or property matter falls under Polish courts or authorities, I can act as your representative in Poland — from the first letter to the enforcement of a judgment.

What I can do for you

  • Court proceedings — civil and commercial cases at all instances, including the enforcement of judgments.
  • Administrative matters — building, planning and land register authorities, appeals, and complaints to the administrative courts (WSA and NSA).
  • Disputes with companies and individuals based in Poland — unpaid invoices, breach of contract, defective works, property disputes.
  • Debt recovery — demand letters, payment order proceedings and enforcement through a court bailiff.
  • Real estate and construction — see real estate and construction.

How it works when you are abroad

  1. Send a short description of the matter and the key documents by e-mail. We talk by phone, video call (Teams, Meet, Zoom) or WhatsApp.
  2. I assess the case under Polish law and send you a fee proposal.
  3. You sign a power of attorney. I tell you what form it requires and how to deliver it.
  4. I conduct the case and keep you informed in English. Where precise wording matters — contracts, court documents, hearings — I work with a sworn translator or interpreter.

Proceedings before Polish courts and authorities are conducted in Polish. Documents in other languages usually need a translation by a sworn translator. I arrange this for you.

Fees

Fees in these matters are set individually. They depend mainly on the location of the court or authority and on the value of the claim. Court fees, translation costs and bailiff's fees are charged separately; I estimate them before we start.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to come to Poland?

Usually not. Most of the work is done by e-mail, video calls (Teams, Meet, Zoom) and WhatsApp. Your presence may be needed if the court decides to hear you as a party or a witness; I will tell you in advance.

Can you act against a Polish company I have a contract with?

Yes, provided there is no conflict of interest. I check this before accepting the case.

How long does a court case take in Poland?

It depends on the court and the type of case. After reviewing the documents I give you a realistic estimate.
