Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data I process when you use this website or contact the practice, why I process it and what rights you have.

1. Controller

2. What data I process

The data you provide in the contact form, by e-mail, text message, messenger (e.g. WhatsApp) or by phone: name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message. Please do not send special categories of data (such as health data) or documents in your first message unless necessary.

The server hosting this website may automatically record the IP address, date and time of the visit and browser information in technical logs. This data is used only to keep the website secure and working properly.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to your enquiry and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Correspondence and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims — legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Website security (server logs) — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Performance of a contract for legal services and compliance with legal obligations, if we start working together — Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.

4. Professional secrecy

Information provided in connection with a case is protected by the professional secrecy of legal counsels under Polish law.

5. Recipients

Data may be shared with providers of hosting, e-mail and IT services, only to the extent necessary and under data processing agreements.

If you choose to communicate by WhatsApp, text message, another messenger or a video call (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom), messages and calls are transmitted through the provider of that service on its terms. These providers may process data, including metadata, outside the European Economic Area under the mechanisms provided for in the GDPR. If you prefer to communicate only by e-mail or phone, just let me know.

6. Retention

Data from an enquiry that did not lead to a contract is kept for the duration of the correspondence and then for no longer than 12 months from the last contact. Data related to a case is kept for the period required by law and the limitation of claims.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Poland. Some rights may be limited by professional secrecy.

8. Cookies

This website does not store cookies or similar technologies on your device. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media trackers, and fonts are served from the practice's own server.
